De 100 beste romans van de 20ste eeuw


Hier een top 100 met de beste romans van de twintigste eeuw volgens Time.  Het blijft plezierig na te toetsen hoeveel klassiekers je van deze selectie gelezen hebt. Er ontbreken nogal wat evidente titels en er is zelfs een graphic novel ingeslopen (Alan Moore's Watchmen). Maar als je een boontje hebt voor Engelse literatuur is het best een aardig lijst. Er is niet enkel high brow literatuur, ook een detective als "The Big Sleep" van Raymond Chandler werd weerhouden. Een aanzienlijk deel van de boeken op deze lijst werden ondertussen succesvol verfilmd. Sommige boeken zelfs meermaals Maar dat is stof voor een ander lijstje.
